I was the only one on sight, and therefore I had to assist him. Offering help to the biker meant that I would have to cancel my date with Lindsey, hence not keeping the promise I made to her. In the end, I assisted the biker and called Lindsey to tell her that I would not make it to meet her.

From the two conflicting obligations above, the prima facie duty was that of attending to the injured biker. I was aware that I had made a promise to Lindsey, and I did not keep it, but I knew she would understand, and we would always arrange another meetup.
