I understand person-centered care as a practice that ensures that patients’ values, preferences, and considered in the provision of care while providing respectful care.  It is uncommon to find patients unsatisfied with the care that they receive. In this context, person-centered care enables the nurses to provide an opportunity for the patients to have their views on what is best for their care and priorities. As such, nurses need to be flexible enough to meet these needs of the patient effectively.
